BOMBSHELL! Le'Veon Bell ACCUSES Former Jets Coach Adam Gase of Using Cocaine in Office — 'Wasn't Just ONE Time!'
Former NFL star running back Le'Veon Bell made a STUNNING accusation against his former New York Jets head coach Adam Gase, and the allegations have sent SHOCKWAVES through the NFL community. Bell's claims, made during an appearance on the Respectfully podcast with Justin Laboy, are among the most EXPLOSIVE ever leveled against an NFL head coach, and they raise serious questions about the culture of the Jets organization during Gase's tenure.
Gase, now the passing game coordinator under Jim Harbaugh with the Los Angeles Chargers, did not fare well in New York, going 9-23 before being fired after the 2020 season. Bell and Gase joined the team in 2019, when they went 7-9, but flopped the following year. The relationship between Bell and Gase was well documented as STRAINED, with Bell growing increasingly frustrated with his role in the offense and Gase seemingly unable or unwilling to find ways to utilize one of the most talented running backs in the league.
But the podcast appearance revealed that the problems between Bell and Gase went far deeper than football X's and O's. Bell called Gase the dumbest coach of all time before making the far more serious allegation. When Laboy asked Bell to go further after saying Gase did a lot of things in that office that coaches are not supposed to do, Bell said Gase was using white girl, a slang term for cocaine, and then made a snorting gesture.
Bell explained the moment he allegedly witnessed the behavior: "I am like, bro, I am not going to walk into the office and see my coach snorting cocaine. We are about to go to practice, bro. Practice in 28 minutes. We got a run-through, bro. Is this what you are doing here?" The image Bell painted is DISTURBING — a head coach allegedly using drugs in his office minutes before a team practice — and if true, it represents a STUNNING breach of the trust and responsibility that comes with leading an NFL team.
Bell doubled down and said he saw Gase do it himself. "It was not just one time. That is what he did, though. Everybody knows it. That is what he did. But it was crazy for me to watch him do it. I heard all the stories." The suggestion that this was not an isolated incident but a PATTERN of behavior is particularly ALARMING, and it raises questions about whether others in the organization were aware of Gase's alleged conduct.
The Chargers did not immediately respond to a request for comment, and Gase has not publicly addressed Bell's allegations. The NFL has not commented on the matter, but if the league chooses to investigate, the implications could be SIGNIFICANT for Gase's career and for the Chargers organization that currently employs him.
For Bell, the decision to go public with these allegations was a BOLD one, and it has reignited the conversation about the dysfunction that plagued the Jets during Gase's tenure. Whether the allegations are proven or not, they have added another chapter to one of the most TURBULENT periods in Jets franchise history.
